App Reviews

  • Love this app but it could use some lovin

    By Cheeky piña
I absolutely love this app, and use it daily! I just wish it operated better. It’s not very reliable when it comes to setting alarms and the screen sometimes turns blank, or the page freezes and I need to quit the app to get it to work again. The concept is incredible, but the app could use some tweaking and upgrading.
  • Happy long time user

This is a great way to wake each day, and one of the only apps I use every day. They add enough new content on a regular basis to keep things interesting, and my favorites are always there. I usually wake in a convoluted foggy and worried mood, but this app snaps me out of it. Yoga Wakeup makes a fantastic prelude to my morning meditation to stir my brain and body into a more lucid state. Helps make a perfect start for your day, and sometimes I listen later in the day for a tune-up. It’s also a great leaning tool to learn some Yoga basics.
  • My Most Favorite App Ever

    By meglette08
Yoga Wake Up has been a true gift. I use the iPad app since I have the space to download as many sessions as I choose, and I love the design. It is beautiful every time you open it! My advice is to use your regular alarm and then do the session you chose (for mornings). I don’t use the sleep tracker either. These options sound nice, but if you are into a practice and don’t already have these covered, you might be disappointed. But for the actual practices, there is an abundant variety with a wide range of instructors. The majority are for mornings, but there are some nice bedtime programs, and specialty sessions for families and expectant mothers. You can preview each session. The music used is listed, and you can rate each session the first time you use it and see these ratings on each page describing the session. I not in shape due to a long-term illness, but I am ready to begin the process back. And I have missed my yoga practice so much. This app won’t replace your normal practice or class, but it is a wonderful way to begin and end the day or meditate anytime. Each practice on this app will leave you feeling better, mind, body, and soul. Thank you so much! ☯️ ☮️ 💜
  • Didn’t work at all

    By gjstclair
I set several alarms and they never went off. It took forever to download the session I selected and then the alarm didn’t go off. So I decided to “listen now” and the button didn’t even work then.
  • They billed me even though I didn't subscribe, and they don't respond to requests for help.

I tried the free trial for a day before realizing that this app was not quite what I was looking for. I canceled immediately, and my settings tab reflect that I'm using (or not using) the free version. I was surprised, therefore, to find a "recurring monthly charge" on my bank statement. Sure enough, Yoga Studio had billed me for a month, despite canceling duting the "free" trial. And here's the kicker: I don't even have access to subscription-only material -- only the free stuff! I've tried to contact them, and received no response. Next step, a complaint to iTunes and Mastercard.
  • I’m awake! And out of bed.

    By Jaie
I love this app! For years I have trouble feeling completely awake in the mornings and actually getting out of bed. Lately I have noticed increased body pain when I wake up as well. This app is really, really helping. My mood is a lot better too. A gentle alarm, followed by a soothing, calm voice and a gentle yoga practice. There have been a few times I’ve been a little confused, but not too badly. We will see how well I do with this now that it’s turning colder and the temperature outside of the covers isn’t as comfy. I’m pretty sure yoga under the blankets is impossible!
  • Disappointed

I started my subscription a month ago and was really excited. Then all of a sudden today it reset and locked everything. I emailed the team and awaiting to resolve this issue ASAP...
  • Love it!!!

Finding good guided meditations was the only hindrance to my daily meditation practice. I’m not yet advanced enough to effortlessly meditate without guidance and so when my yoga teacher told me about this app, I downloaded it right away. I do Alex Dawson’s wind down meditation every evening and I can’t be sure that this is the reason but I’ve slept so deeply and well since I started doing this bedtime meditation. It allows you to calm down your nervous system and begin to shut down before bed. Alex has a voice of an angel and the singing bowl sounds are heavenly.
  • Fantastic, needs clearer iOS instructions

    By annewithaneee
I really love this app! Has really helped me wake up right when I need to (no more opportunities to hit snooze 8 billion times) and set an intention for the day. Why I’m not giving 5 stars, though, is that setting wake ups with iOS devices is fiddly. You can’t just set your wakeups and go, you have to open the app after your set bedtime. Not great to have to have screentime right before bed because your alarm won’t work otherwise — but maybe that’s an iOS limitation. But I think the app could be clearer about this point — I missed my first two wakeups because I didn’t know what exactly was needed to make it work. There should probably be an upfront warning about this, not just a vague notification at bedtime, and further info in Help if you decide to go looking for it.
  • Love it but it only actually wakes up 1/10 times

    By BananaJean
Love the variety and concept but it rarely actually works on time! One day it’s perfect the next nope. Must set alarm too, as it’s not dependable to actually wake up on time. New update today, maybe it will work as designed.
