  • Competitors have dominated HBO

    Not worth paying $15/month to deal with this frustrating technology. It is 2018, but this app feels like it is 2010. Hulu and Netflix have awesome apps that allow you to pick up quickly right where you left off. HBO has decided to not prioritize that feature, and the result is a clunky app that makes you search for which episode you want to watch. Really disappointing for a major company. Will probably find an alternative platform to watch their programs.

    I run into the same problem w/ the app not recognizing me as a subscriber, as well as, even having WiFi, always running into the problem of lag and having a hard time watching a series w/o any glitches or problems. I travel a lot and enjoy having my iPad to watch movies and it’s frustrating running into issues pretty much every time.PLEASE FIX,we do pay for this and for what it’s worth I’ve been a HBO CUSTOMER FOR WELL OVER 20 years.thank you and I hope, I TRULY HOPE, your techs can fix these seeming minor problems. Thank you

    I got my subscription through att and it asked the provider that you used to pay for it and att isn’t even an option so I’m paying for something I can’t even use. I just don’t understand how att isn’t an option when that’s the provider I use to pay for it. Fix the problem.

    I honestly don’t understand all the negative reviews of this app. I was using HBO GO until Dish and HBO stopped getting along. HBO Now is equally as good, just more expensive. Works great on all devices: old iPad, new iPad, iPhones, old Apple TV, new Apple TV.

  • Terrible Apple TV app support

    On my Apple TV, when I go into the TV app and try to resume watching an episode it loads up the HBO Now app, plays their vain “HBO Now” tag (as if I didn’t know), and then RESTARTS THE EPISODE FROM THE BEGINNING. EVERY. TIME. I canceled Netflix because they won’t support the TV app. I will cancel HBO if they can’t fix their support for it. In 2018 there is no need for me to have to go peruse all of my streaming services individually, and frankly I just won’t do it. Fix the app.
  • Non-intuitive screens, app crashes frequently

    I downloaded the iOS app for a weekend and watched a series. The poor UI/UX design made it very clunky to use. The app also crashed frequently and did not remember where I stopped/crashed last time, making it painful to continue to watch. Finally I decided to cancel the subscription for now, hard to justify paying for such bad service.
