  • Attempting to Chrome cast immediately crashes the app

    If I attempt to use my Bravias built in chrome cast, the app immediately crashes. It’s completely unusable and I’m unable to use my subscription. If I attempt to use an external chrome cast It says there was an error decrypting the video. Other apps don’t have this problem. Why is this app so unstable after years of development?
  • Weakest of the major streaming apps

    The most backwards app of all the major streaming services. The gray letterboxing makes for a poor cinematic experience on iPhone. Tiny scrubber bar makes scrubbing hard. And no HBO app on any platform supports 4K or HDR. HBO’s tech lets its content down massively.

    Dumb app charges you right away there’s no such things a 1month free trial when it charges you $15.93 the next day. Also super slow movies outdated and app shuts down out of the blue

    I signed up for the 1 month free trial but after looking at what to watch i realized i didn’t really want it so i canceled it the next day and was still charged for 14.99.... lies.
  • What a joke

    HBO doesn’t appear to understand how technology works or what a good user experience is. I’ve spent over an hour trying to get hbo running on my PlayStation and iPhone. In the end I ended up having to use amazon via the fire stick instead of my ps4. The customer support rep was clueless Now I can’t get it to work on my iPhone. I keep hitting an error page. You can’t even copy the error message. Google searches aren’t helping either What a joke
  • Just don't pause your show

    Pause your show to go to a next app and prepare to wait for a next 20 minutes before your show will start playing again. Close the app and open it again? Expect it to start from the beginning... And don't even try scrubbing your way back to where you last were on the timeline. Take some cues from Netflix, HBO. That's an app well done.

  • Can’t connect to Xbox

    I think this is the first review I’ve made. I’m about to cancel my subscription after only having it for 3 days because for all three days, I have yet been able to watch a show. I’ve been trying to connect it to my Xbox. I’ll start with the code. Then I’ll try to put in my username and password but it says it’s incorrect. I ask them to email me because i ‘forgot’ mine and get no email. I’ll try changing my password on the app and still no luck. Then I get ‘you’ve tried too many times, wait 60 minutes’. I’ll try later, no luck.. so I gave up. I use one email, I have limited variations of passwords I use, so I’m not sure why nothing worked.
  • Uodates are supposed to be an improvement

    Since the update all the shows and movies are low res and need to buffer every five minutes. My internet provider recently upgraded the speed which has caused YouTube to play in wonderful high res with no intermittent buffering. So I’m as confident as I can be that the issue lies in the app and not my internet connection. Update: tried watching Real Time this morning and it had to load every 30 seconds or so. This was getting annoying, so I tried it in chrome on my laptop, it’s playing at high res and has no loading time. I think this is how streaming should work.
