  • Hard to control

    By jackie kop
I hate the new app. It’s so hard to control devices with the new setup. I have Alexa play music while my daughter falls asleep and used to be able to just hit stop 2 secs after opening the app. Now I have to wait until it pops up at the bottom of the app and sometimes it doesn’t come up at all. Horrible. PS I usually love Amazon and all of their other apps.
  • What did you do????

With recent update no longer able to access prime music lists specifically the menu of playlists also accessing radio stations which previously could do. Just a pain. I don't do audible so I don't want to see every book Ive ever put on my Kindle I use Alexa for music primarily
  • Argh . . .

What the heck have they done to the app? It’s terrible!!! Unfortunately where I live Alexa gets kicked off WiFi a lot. With the new app there is no set-up selection. You’re scrolling around Settings section that is no help. HELP!
  • Seriously??

The app has always been slow but, as of today, it won’t even open! Rebooted my iPhone X and still - Nope!

This is one of the hardest to use apps I have. It’s not made with the user in mind at all.
  • Seriously?

Haven’t been able to use this app once. iPhone XS. Newest version of iOS. Bose CQ 2. App crashes every time I open it. Uninstalled. Reinstalled. Uninstalled. Reinstalled. Restart phone. Lather. Rinse. Repeat. It’s easier to open the google assistant app and get things done that way. Really wanted to try this. Bummer
  • Hate this app now!

With the new update I’m not able to access the player while the music is playing on my Alexa. You can only access the player to change song and volume etc. if you do it from the app to begin with. I used to be able to see what was playing on the Alexa by just opening the app. Can’t do that anymore so it’s useless to me. I want to see what’s playing and change volume or stations it’s not even an option when you press play looking button it goes to the explore page! Ughhh so mad I updated the app!
  • Not a good app at the moment

I don’t want to bash the app completely as i know it’s difficult to make apps. However this has to be one of the worse apps I have dealt with. It doesn’t load, it’s slow, and to me personally it’s not user friendly. The app is supposed to be a fundamental piece to the device however it just makes the device useless in my eyes. Before I downloaded I didn’t pay the low rating anymore because what might not work for you may work for me. Well let’s just say that I can see why now it was rated so low. Please fix so that the app and device are more enjoyable.
  • Sloooooow

The new app makes me want to return every piece of amazon equipment I bought.
  • Old version was much easier to use

It was so intuitive and easy to pick and play music from the app without having to talk to Alexa, now that is all gone with the app update. I can’t control which song I want, on which device without getting stuck growing through loops trying to get it to play, and it’s impossible to find the volume control, sometimes it’s there sometimes it’s not. The older app version was much easier.
