  • Expensive, Inefficient & Eventually Useless

Once you pony up the big dollars for this app you’d assume it would bring over all the transactions from your bank accounts seamlessly, many apps do it for free so if your paying $100 for this it should be sweet, right? Nope, with this app you need to go through two step authorization every time and that still doesn’t always bring the transaction over. The syncing with the bank accounts is the only problem. Which stinks because it’s the main reason you’d use this over a pen and paper. We love Dave Ramsey, so it’s painful to have such a bad experience with one of his products. We tried using it for two years, but ended up having to switch to our banks (Huntington) app, which actually works, and is free. Sorry Dave, we still love you.
  • Disappointed.

I just paid my monthly subscription to find out the app no longer supports my bank. I have USAA and my transaction aren’t crossing over into the app or the desktop version. This is incredibly frustrating and make the app a waste of money.
  • Best Budgeting App

My husband and I have tried a few other budgeting tools but this by far is the best one! It works for you and your budget. You don’t have to make your budget fit the app. It’s super user friendly and really creates a system to manage EVERY penny you bring in. It’s easy to adjust months to your needs and has helped us save more money than I could have imagined. I didn’t really know I was saving so much until I added all my funds up! It’s liberating but at the same time the structure and organization I need.
  • Not for Me

I love Dave, but this app does not help me at all. My bills don’t all go out on the same dates, and I don’t always get paid on the same dates (every two weeks), so my “month” isn’t the same as a regular 1st-31st month. I always budget by the check. Plus, I deleted the app forever ago, and I just got charged for Every Dollar Plus. I don’t even remember signing up for that, and I have no idea how it’s different from the free app.

As of right now you cannot sign in to the EveryDollar app via iPhone. The desktop version works phone but an error pops up when you try to login on the app. Please fix.

Definitely worth the money to have it synced to your banks. Helped my wife and I knock out our student loans way faster than we thought we could!

If you have a stereotypical life with a 2x monthly income and only monthly expenses and you don’t like to look forward beyond a given month and you are into a lot of manual entry, the. This app might be for you. I think there are so many apps that can do this better and more flexibly. A spreadsheet is significantly more flexible and, in reality, just as easy to manage. Get “Numbers”, set up a good spreadsheet and just use it that way. If you have to have an app, try YNAB instead of this swill. Ramsey has a solid set of principles for getting and staying out of debt but his tools (and much of the rest of his organizations outlook on money) are pretty terrible.
  • Great, but small bug

This app is awesome, but ever since the last update it keeps showing the “Planned” amount next to line items, even when I have “Remaining” selected. I can override it by selecting planned, then remaining again, but it’s pretty frustrating every time I open the app. Please fix? Thanks
  • Great app, would like to see funds extended to other categories!

I tried about 5 other popular budgeting apps before this one, and none of them where as useful as EveryDollar. It’s easy to use and doesn’t take too long to enter transactions, which would be something that would make it harder for me to stick to a budget. I absolutely love the new emergency fund function. It’s very elegantly designed and I’m really hoping that in future updates we’ll gain the ability to create funds in other areas (ie clothing, gifts, etc). Right now I have to do a weird carryover to account for an month-to-month increase in these other areas which makes it more confusing to track.
