App Reviews

  • Nice app but some important things hard to use.

Its pretty cool app in general. Allows to do many of cool things. But in some reason it has no undo/redo function.
  • The best app for aspiring (and professional) musicians

I have used numerous apps to achieve what I needed - make beautiful music with little (read none) knowledge of music theory. Medly is the only app that offers the intuitiveness, as well as the breadth of features to permit anyone to make amazing music. Try it, you will be blown away! Keep up the great work, guys!

Thanks for making this app. It’s better than the rest. It can always be improved, but it’s already just better than the rest, hands down. I’ve been using Medly for a while now, and I love it. Keep up the great work! Now, for some suggestions. 😂 I would LOVE to have a Glitch Hop pack added soon! It’s my favorite kind of music, and I would really enjoy having a pack solely dedicated to that subgenre of electronic music. Maybe add some Voxes to that pack, too, as Glitch Hop uses Vox a lot. Also, a feature I would love to see (and that I’ve wanted for a long time now) is a Tempo Change option. It really would be cool to change speed during a song, and I think many people would agree! Anyway, that’s all from me. Thank you for your time and for making (and continuing to develop) an amazing app!

  • Let us be able to purchase sets

This would be good for people that want to specialize in certain sounds. I was thinking maybe each sound should cost 2.99 to 4.99.
  • Subscription

    By Pirie.L
I love this app a lot, but there is an issue. I have tried and tried, but I simply can’t cancel my subscription, no matter how hard I try. Personally, I think that when you delete the app, the subscription should be cancelled. Please try to fix it.
  • Once I got this that day I couldn’t stop.

By some guy who likes your app
Ever since I got this in 2015 (4 years I’ve had this app!) I couldn’t stop using it and I’m still using it today. I sometimes get bored on what instruments I could use. But since I wanted to make a review on this masterpiece of a music maker I wanted to ask a small request.... Is it possible if you can make a horror kind of instrument pack? I have been into soundtracks for horror games and always wanted to compose my own for a big animation I plan on working on. If you can do that it would be awesome!😁👍 I absolutely love this app so much and it’s new stuff. My most favorite one is the arcade!👍👍👍
  • Less Complaints, Request

    By Isjdidueufurheeidrj
Hello. I am a customer who previously wrote a comment rudely complaining about certain things such as subscriptions and how the new update messed with the audio. I am here to apologize. First of all, I complained that the subscription was a cash grab that was unfair to those who actually wanted it due to how expensive it was compared to the original format of either buying each pack separately for a couple dollars or buying every pack together for $10.00. At the time I was thinking “Y’all just want money so y’all can have it.” However, your response to some reviews stated this, and I quote: “We have a small team,” as well as “it is the only way we can continue to afford to bring you new content to make your experience better.” I was inconsiderate. Of course, it’s a cash grab, in a way. However, a cash grab isn’t a bad thing. With a steady inflow of money you can continue to give your following what they want: more instruments. And that means more satisfied customers. Considering the team’s working hard to release a new set of instruments each month, $34.00 a year is actually pretty generous. I could buy a lot less for a lot more (directly contradicting my original review, where I said I could buy a lot more for a lot less). While I’m not a subscriber yet, I am considering sticking with the yearly subscription, if only to help out the team behind this brilliant app. Now on to the effect the update had on certain pieces of music I made: while I haven’t been able to fix every affected track’s dynamics and sound, I have been able to fix most, and the end product from those readjustments amounted to more than it did before the update. In short, the pieces of music I have managed to fix sound better now than they did before the update. And while I haven’t fixed every piece of music (as stated before), it’s only a matter of time, and I believe that, once I finish readjusting such pieces, they’ll sound better as well. This app is brilliant (again, stated above). I give it 4/5, though, for one reason: not everyone prefers to make modernized music over classic or rock-styled music. The thing that will push me over the edge into the yearly subscription is whether or not I see more medieval instruments involved. The current Medieval/Orchestral/Cultural instruments are limited, if a bit underwhelming. Add instruments for certain cultures, such as instruments from old/oriental Chinese/Japanese/Asian culture. More medieval instruments. Orchestral tools to create wondrous symphonies worthy of the gods. Now that alone would make the $34 worth it for me. And I’d get several other instruments alongside it. While I strive to make enthralling medieval folksong with this app, I never said I didn’t like to make modern music. And with that, I take my pardon. Keep up the good work!
  • Chill step update

    By Zachary Austin
I love the ChillStep update but the app crashes SOOOOO easily now. Please come out with a fix for it. Other than that I absolutely love the app.
  • Stop the medley members

This app is great. I use it all the time. However, I think it’s stupid that you keep adding the awesome, height quality packs but don’t let people use them unless they’re a medley member. At least add one more pack that’s as good as these. Other than that though, it’s great
