  • Amazing wonderful recipes

I wanted to cancel my NYT subscription but couldn’t live without this!
  • Love ❤️

I have really enjoyed the recipes. I tend to try new recipes all the time and this is. A great resource.
  • Not a free app

The app is useless unless you subscribe to the NYT. I have absolutely no problem with an app developer requiring payment. However, this app used to be functional and free. Developers should not be allowed to remove all functionality and require a subscription from a previously free app with an update. This is not the same NYT food app; don’t call it an update. It should not be able to be called a free app because it has absolutely no functionality without paying.
  • Subscription fee AND ads

I don’t think it’s cool that I have to both pay for a pretty expensive yearly subscription AND have to deal with an advertisement on every page.
  • Only app I pay for!

    By BerkeleyVee
I love the NYT Cooking app! Great, easy to follow recipes, helpful notes from other users and timely emails that help with menu planning. Not only am I happy to pay for this app for our family, I’ve given it to a number of friends, as well!
  • Mixed feelings

Great app in many ways, no more paper slips, yay for that! Keeps things more or less in order. BUT a bit unwieldy, if you want to organize recipes after saving, slow, and worst takes up a Massive amount of space. More than almost anything I have loaded, it’s crazy. I deleted it once, but that makes me nervous.
  • No trial?

    By Esquivalient
I signed up for a free trial on the web. Whenever I sign into the app, it says my account doesn’t have access to cooking. Cooking is the only thing I have access to online. Frustrating.
  • Ok but a bit pricey for what it offers

    By Murderofcrows58
I subscribed mainly because I had saved a bunch of recipes while it was free and didn’t want to lose them. It has good recipes but the search function isn’t the best. Sometimes I have to find recipes by doing a Google search when their search doesn’t find a recipe I know I’ve made from the app. The app seems very pricey compared to the others. I paid the price mostly to support the paper!
  • Terrific recipes

This is my go to for great recipes. Everything I’ve made is delicious.
  • Best Recipes

I have always relied on the N.Y. Times for cooking recipes. They have the best writers.
