Inbox by Gmail App Description

Your email inbox should help you live and work better, but instead it often buries the important stuff and creates more stress than it relieves. Inbox, built by the Gmail team, keeps things organized and helps you get back to what matters. • HIGHLIGHTS - Get the most important information without even opening the message. Check-in for flights, see shipping information for purchases, and view photos from friends right up front. • BUNDLES - Similar messages are bundled together so you can deal with them all at once. And get rid of them with one swipe. • REMINDERS - More than mail, you can add Reminders so your inbox contains all the things you need to get back to. • SNOOZE - Snooze emails and Reminders to come back when you are ready to deal with them: next week, when you get home, or whenever you choose. • SEARCH - Inbox helps you find exactly what you’re looking for— from your upcoming flight to a friend's address— without having to dig through messages. • WORKS WITH GMAIL - Inbox is built by the Gmail team, so all your messages from Gmail are here, along with the reliability and spam protection of Gmail. All of your messages are still in Gmail and always will be.

Still no iPhone X support. I am removing it. Today 4/25 the head of Gmail said inbox is a beta test bed. So not interested any more. I actually am moving to outlook for iOS. Which is shocking but a shockingly solid app.
  • Badge broken

Unread message count permanently stuck in badge while I have NO unread messages. And no way to reset this counter. I think this started to happen after latest iOS update.
  • What happened to the gestures?

All of the gestures that made navigating between bundles disappeared in the last update. The app takes me twice as long to use now.
  • Ugh. Frustrating.

Love inbox but completely frustrated that there hasn’t been an update for iPhone X by now. It feels like abandonware at this point.
  • iPhone X optimization

Please make it so it’s optimized for iPhone X screen. Love the app. Also bring back pulling down to go out of a category, that was very convenient
  • iPhone X support, or no?

I’ve been using Inbox since the start and love its functionality. There have been multiple updates to the app since the iPhone X was released, but yet, no optimization for the new screen. How frustrating.
  • The best email app needs iPhone X support.

There’s nothing else to say. This is my favorite email app by far. It just needs an update to support iPhone X’s screen.
  • Needs all inboxes function

Unlike the android version, I cannot view all inboxes for multiple accounts all at once. Fix this and it will be 5 stars
  • Dumb UX Changes

The only reason I use Inbox instead of the default mail app is the ease of getting from one email to another. You can just swipe down from the top of a folder to leave the folder, and swipe down from the top of an email to close the email. Unfortunately, in the most recent update, Google got rid of this, and now you have to press the back button. Bye bye Inbox, hello Apple Mail.
  • Deleting the app

It’s been too long and still no iPhone X support. I’m deleting this app and going back to Gmail. What’s super confusing is these two “competing” apps are from the same company! Company politics, I suppose.
