Continued use of GPS running in the background can dramatically decrease battery life. Other factors such as the phone's temperature, battery health, and other apps running in the background can also affect battery performance. All-day battery life was tested on an iPhone 5.

  • Mountain Must Have

I bought a one time pass for today at A Basin in CO and immediately bought the season pass when I got home. I’m not a huge app reviewer, but this app is amazing. You get so many stats about your rides, but it’s not overwhelming in the UI. On the lift I could check my top speed, vertical descent, distance, and more for the run I just finished. This allowed me to have an up to date view of my last run as well as every run I had done up to that point. When I got home, I snapped a pic of the AR view of the mountain (with my runs outlined) on my kitchen counter. Adding that to a few pictures I took and a Slopes Instagram template of my stats and bam . . . I shared my entire day with my friends and family. I *highly* recommend.

Works amazing! Couldn’t wish for anything better! You don’t need any trackers or special equipment, just your phone. Absolutely a game-changer
  • Blows competitors away, hands down

I’ve been a Trace snow user for several seasons. Slopes, even without any in app purchases, blows trace away. Battery life is outstanding; after a full day on the slopes, my phone is still at 50%. The Apple Watch app is incredibly useful; there are a few bugs I’ve discovered but nothing critical. For instance, if you start a session from your phone, the watch app will not enable water lock correctly.
  • Amazing app, independent Dev, perfect privacy

Hey! While everything in skilandia has been absorbed into the mighty Vailborg this app hasn’t, and it's amazing. It tracks your runs in 3D, the independent Developer has impmented some impressive augmented reality features. This thing runs (ski) laps around the competition and I use it to track every run. Get this app, but the subscription, and support this sort of innovation. It’s perfect.
  • Stop looking another tracking app and get Slopes

TL;DR get Slopes if you are interested in any sort of ski/snowboard tracking This is the only ski/snowboard tracking app you will need. Once you download and try it you will be hooked. We used to only be able to know who got to the bottom of the run fastest, and just try our hardest to remember how many runs we did, did we ride Montezuma 3 or 4 times before lunch, I lost count. Not any more! Every stat you can think of is tracked, lift time and line time, actual riding time, speed, distance, altitude, runs, heart rate (with Apple Watch), gps map of your runs, 3D map of your runs, and some many others. Now you can see exactly how many runs you did and who is getting to a higher speed during the run! I was able to pinpoint exactly how fast I was riding when I crashed and dislocated my shoulder (39mph), but don’t tell my wife. On top of the already awesome app, it keeps getting regular updates! I thought to myself, it would be great if the Apple Watch app tracked heart rate, not a month later it was added. Then I though it would be cool if you could see a graph of this, again a month later that feature was added. I don’t have any more ideas but I’m sure something else I love is coming.

I love this app. I use this app all the time to track how much I ski. It helps me justify how much money I spend on skiing to my wife.
  • Won’t Appear on Apple Watch

I like the app in general but I can’t get it to appear on my Apple Watch (series 4, watch OS5) or integrate with health beyond my weight. Doesn’t even show up in available apps on the watch app. Tried to contact support on the website but there is no contact info.
  • Simply the best!!!!!

It’s great to see a beautiful summary of all your ski days. App is super solid, doesn't burn battery, and has a sweet watch app. ⛷ 👍👍
