  • I used this app

I used this app for over three years and had numerous issues (never resolved) and then I was forced into a monthly subscription to keep using the basic app with promises of more features that did nothing for me. I wrote and gave feedback with no real resolution besides, just paying your monthly subscription and things will eventually be worked out.” After purchasing a fitness tracking device and seeing their app was similar and simpler to keep track on my fitness status without a monthly subscription. I uninstalled this app and have not seen anything that would make me reconsider using it again; especially since it has gone from $9.99 a month to $44.99 a month for service. Maybe I am not seeing what justifies that large monthly service from the information given on their app download page, but the same service as when I was a paying subscriber. Hit me up if you want to get more information.

If you are self motivated and determined to count your calories in order to loose weight, this is a good tracking app. But beyond that the “coaches” are a gimmick. They are uninformed and beyond that unresponsive. The app has gained popularity but it’s just a calorie tracker not any form of a weight loss program.
  • Not for everyone

I’m in week 10 of Noom and I thinks it’s bs. 1) says based on psych, science, and such but those disciplines always in debate. 2) I’ve counted calories and steps for 10 weeks and lost maybe 2 lbs. feel deprived with no reward. 3) the online group feature is supposed to be supportive but the one time I posted about my discouragement I woke up to 20 strangers (nicely) telling me I was probably doing it wrong. NOT inspiring. 4) the cutesy and clever jokes were fun at first but got increasingly annoying. 5) the app uses “evil elephant” as the symbol of our worst impulses which bugged me b/c it seems like fat shaming and b/c I like elephants.

I’m finding Noom very helpful. I’ve been able to combine their tips/education & feel as though my attitude towards food has changed. Losing weight but also believing that the change will be long term.

Noom provides a convenient way to document daily meals. I also like the support system of professionals and peers. It’s an awesome lifestyle changing tool!

Noom came at a great time. Struggling with my weight for years; I am finally losing weight. Also learning a lot about foods in general that I thought I already knew. Between your personal graph and the support systems in place the weight is staying off. Thanks Noom!

Noom is not a diet! It is a lifestyle change based in fact. It destroys weight lose myths. It makes u aware of all aspects of life and how they affect your eating habits. Then it helps u learn how to reform those habits into a healthy, sustainable lifestyle. You become part of a community of people that are all following the same teachings, yet u all retain your individuality within the community as u learn. Anyone who is willing to submerse themselves completely in the program will succeed in losing weight, gaining energy, feeling and looking younger and more vibrant, and having a more positive outlook in regards to themselves and life. I have 11 days left in the 4 month program and 4 lbs left to lose to reach my goal of losing 40lbs. I have no doubt in my mind that I will reach this goal and never have the weight boomerang back on me. Yes, it can seem daunting at times, but honestly it is the most and easiest weight I have ever lost in my life. And I enjoyed it! Forget those fad diets that will never last u a lifetime, and enjoy the freedom that comes with Noom 😁

This app is awful. It’s mostly a bunch of ridiculous pages of “Noom nerd” made up words and nonsense. It doesn’t do anything special that other cal tracking apps can’t do.
