App Reviews

  • Plz, Design and Calendar

One of the best to-do apps but the design is too "squared". Make it smooth like things 3 and put a calendar plz
  • Very flexible. Ugly UI.

I purchased this app for two reasons: two way integration with Google Calendar (I have it in my iOS calendar app which allows me to view tasks and appointments within Todoist and/or the monthly view in the calendar app), and I can access Todoist on the web platform using my work PC since I have all Apple products. Pros: - Easy to use - Multiple platforms - Not expensive Cons: - Ugly UI (Things 3 dominates this but lacks the 2 things I mentioned above) - needs more color options - Needs a monthly calendar view (only has 7 day upcoming view)
  • All platforms

This is currently the only to do app that can be used on all platforms. iOS, pc, chrome. Although syncing can be hard sometimes, but this app is the only option now.
  • Looks good but....

Wayy too many that are very simple are not free , like a reminder alarm are you serious ? If there was a free trail ok i would understand because then i will know if i like the app but i dont see one anywhere besides that it looks fine
  • Generally fantastic - 10.3.3 crashing constantly

Crashing on item save/edit constantly using OS 10.3.3 and current version. Please review.
  • Do not buy this app

I have downloaded the app due to good reviews on YouTube. I was hoping to sync my two calendars and manage my task and goals. I have bought a year subscription- expensive one with out that you can not sync your cal. So I have wrote to app developers about the issue and didn’t got any answer or my money back with in late two weeks. This is very unprofessional + the app has malfunctions that they don’t fix. DON’T BUY IT.
  • Good but inefficient UI

It has nice Seri integration and all the features you’d expect from a good task manager but I find the UI frustrating. Most notably to view details of a task you always have to click twice. Once on the task, only to be presented with a submenu where you have to click again. It seems trivial but after trying to use it for a week I gave up out of annoyance. It also doesn’t have check boxes next to tasks, instead you have to swipe to complete. Again, seems trivial but when I’m shopping I like to quickly check off a dozen things and having to swipe each one is more time consuming. It also requires a Premium subscription for the most basic of features. If you’re looking to switch over from Wunderlist I’m afraid TickTick is a better option with a more familiar interface.
  • Needs One More Thing

It’s a great app, and maybe this is just me, but I wish there was a way to x-out things you didn’t get to and receive negative points for them, rather than having to reschedule them for another day, or worse, check them off even though you haven’t done them. It’s a mental thing, but a big one. Let me give you an example. I hate exercising. Hate it. So of course it’s on my Todoist list of daily chores. But, at the end of the day last week I didn’t exercise because I didn’t feel well or feel like it. Now, what I wanted to do was x that off my list, like “see, you don’t get the satisfaction of marking it complete! And you get negative karma points! Don’t do it again!” So that I’d be motivated to complete it the next day. But instead I was forced to either a) check it complete even though I’d skipped it or b) reschedule it (but since it was a reoccurring event, it didn’t need to be rescheduled). I tried to find a way to x-it but all I could do was delete it and then re-make the task. Not what I was looking for. So, I hesitantly marked it complete, knowing this was bad for my mental game. As expected, the next time I skipped it it was much easier to hit the “complete” check and pretend I’d done it. And then it got easier and easier. And soon, the tasks that I hated I simply checked off like I’d done them, because there was no way to say I hadn’t. A small thing. A simple thing. Obviously my mental game should be better. But it’s not and it’s why I got a to-do app in the first place, and I wish it held me more accountable when I failed because I need all the help I can get.
  • Best to do list

Best cross platform to do list. Keeps it simple so I can focus on achieving results
  • Perfect!

Except for the part where you forced me to become a premium member just to receive notifications which I had already intended to do but you chose notifications to be the reason. I’ve got an overly sensitive expectation of respect honor kindness and intelligence vs cunningness. When I saw what you chose, “notifications are for premium members” I slumped in my chair before becoming furious that anyone thought I was that stupid. That minuscule . I was offended and insulted, I simply deleted the app. I can use my iPhone calendar to do exactly the same thing plus get 2 (Two) notifications. You almost hit the mark. What a shame greed took over your decisions. Imagine “premium google” Sincerely, Leland.
