GPSPlus Work hours, Mile, Time App Description

GPSPlus accurately tracks work hours and miles for taxes or business reimbursements. Free app can be used to log, view and edit unlimited number of work hours and business trips using your iPhone. Accurate: GPSPlus records hours spent at work locations. GPSPlus records every trip, route and stops you actually took. Your mile log is quite accurate, since distance is recorded from the actual route taken. Let us say you ended your business trip at a short stop and start your personal trip. Most apps will record it as a single trip. But GPSPlus allows you to split the trip into two at a stop and accurately record Personal and Business trips. GPSPlus also allows you to combine two adjacent trips into one. GPSPlus shows exact source and destination location in the map along with address. Automatic: GPSPlus uses iPhone's GPS based location services to automatically record all your trips and work hours at work locations. You simply install the app and let it run. All your work hour and trip data are automatically and safely backed up in cloud. Setup weekly work hours once and GPSPlus auto categorizes trips and work hours based on weekly work hour schedule. If auto labeling is enabled, GPSPlus also automatically tries to name your work locations. Easy: Simple swipe to categorize activity as Personal or Business. Add custom purposes with custom rates per mile or rate per hour of work. Use custom purposes accurately record business miles and reimbursements. No need to install a GPS tracker. Data is exported in spreadsheet file. It can be viewed and edited further in Numbers app, Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets. Free: Record more business miles and work hours, since GPSPlus won't miss to record any. App offers all its features for free forever except for exporting of data, which is only allowed for subscribed trips. Subscribed trips are trips captured during active subscription. Take advantage of free trial offer and subscribe as soon as possible. Please note that only subscribed trips can be exported. Perfect for: Self employed, real estate agents, consultants, plumbers, contractors, truck drivers, ride share drivers. Subscription features: - Export data in spreadsheet format and open in any spreadsheet app including Numbers. - Export data and send as an email attachment. Subscription Details: Subscribe monthly $2.99 (1 month free trial) or yearly $19.99 (3 months free trial). Manage or Cancel the subscription by clicking Manage Subscriptions in the app. Cancel auto renewal of subscriptions at any time. Payment will be charged to iTunes Account at confirmation of purchase. Subscription automatically renews unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24-hours before the end of the current period. Account will be charged for renewal within 24-hours prior to the end of the current period. Subscriptions may be managed by tapping manage in the subscription menu in the app or going to user's iTunes account settings. Auto-renewal may be turned off by going to the Account Settings. Any unused portion of a free trial period will be forfeited when subscription is purchased NOTE: Continued use of GPS running in the background can dramatically decrease battery life. • Make settings better

Settings menu is missing a way to set default classification to personal Instead of business. If you only want to track miles every few days, it would be better to default to personal.
  • Question here

So will it just use gps all the time? It’d be nice to use the accelerometer to burst start and stop points.

How do I cancel this subscription? Seriously, the link in the app to cancel is faulty and I don't want to pay this much. I found an app that works better and costs less

I always had trouble remembering writing down my work trips and hours down daily . If I miss few days writing things down I would forget what I did when I arrived, When I started and when I finished my day . This app does it all . Now I can backtrack my whole week accurately in 15 min or less . Just make sure to have the phone on u at all time and it will track and pinpoint where u went , how long you stayed there , when I left my house , when I arrived to work and when I left to a second . Great for business or personal use . AAA+++

App was initially one of the best with good sensitivity documenting drives and walks accurately with an easy interface and rapid updates. After some "upgrades" the app is now bordering on useless. Slow updates, poor interface and inaccurate.
  • Best app out there for what it does

Put plainly, this is an awesome app. I've tried every other GPS location logger on the Store, and this one beats them all when it comes to usability, accuracy, and customization. There's no option for 4.5 stars, but it deserves more than 4, so I bumped it up to 5. There are a few minor improvements that would make this app an unquestionable 5/5, but other than that it's a fantastic tool. The UI is great. Just a few taps or a swipe and you can quickly edit what the app may not have automatically assigned correctly, or add information of your own. For time management purposes, I like to know where I was and for how long, and I love that it: (1) records stops made along the way on your route, and (2) lets you add and edit/label those stops. It's awesome how specific and detailed you can get in recording your whereabouts—it's a kind of automatic location journal in that sense. The first UI improvement or option I would like to see is to have days separated so that you can thumb through them by swiping right or left instead of having them be one giant list that you have to scroll through. Second, it's a little tricky to delete entries by swiping left or right on them, because that's how they're able to be quickly classified as business or personal. It would be nice to be able to just have a 'delete' button available when you open a location to view or edit its details. Other than those minor adjustments, this really is a greet app. I highly recommend it.

I'm impressed, I really am. Need some fine-tuning but definitely a six star app!!!! Definitely not for The paranoid people who think they're being tracked. If you're worried about someone tracking your whereabouts do not download
  • Charge for an app I already bought!

GPS Plus has some nice features but the app is trying to be more than it is. $30/year or $3.99/month is not worth it! I'm frustrated as I already purchased this app and even helped provide feedback on numerous locations to help improve it. Now I'm being asked to pay again even though when I bought it there was a one-time charge. I'm sure there has been a lot of development time into this but seems to me like the developer is getting greedy!
