Why’d can’t we zoom in and out anymore? What’s up with taking away features?
  • Update for iPhone X screen

You updated but videos still don’t fit iPhone X screen. At least have the option to zoom even if it cuts off part of the video size
  • Good app

The app has gotten much better since release and is in a pretty good state at this point at my opinion. One very annoying thing I’ve noticed, however, is that the ability to zoom in on a stream while watching it has been removed, making it difficult to read small text and see small things on the stream.

this is a lot better than YouTube live streaming. It also has more options to support your streamers and a better form of chat. And a lot of people don’t know how to stream on here and Twitch should make it a little bit more obvious to find how to use your phone to stream, but other than that twitch in general is a great app and I can’t wait to see more people here.
  • Lack of quality control

I have used third party applications that handle Twitch chat better than the official mobile app. If, for some reason, we are disconnected from chat but the stream continues playing, the user is not notified of the disconnection, and the app makes no effort to reestablish the connection. It isn’t that hard to figure out. Twitch Chat is essentially IRCv3. My CLI IRC clients can inform me of a chat disconnect to the Twitch servers - why can’t this app? I understand the lack of a sub button on iOS due to Apple’s greedy policy that they must get a cut of the profits. I understand bits being more expensive for the same reason. Chat, however, can be a huge part of the experience, especially in smaller streams, and this application is incredibly disappointing in how it handles failures in that regard. Hopefully we will see improvements in the future.

Please re-add the “zoom in” feature on live streams. This feature was either taken away or broken with the release of the new update for iPhone X. Also thank you Twitch for the iPhone X support. The app looks phenomenal on the full screen.

The new iPhone X update is great but please allow us to have the video fill the whole screen, even if it the top and button part of the screen are cut off. Similar to how twitch videos play in Safari but with the option to toggle chat on and off
