If your basic template is all white, why is it impossible to have a dark theme as well? Why do designers think I want my phone to be bright white all the time?
  • No Dark Mode

I do not want to stare at a bright white screen while I check email. There was no dark mode before, but at least it wasn’t just a big, bright white screen.
  • Can’t turn off unified inbox??

I have 3 separate Gmail accounts - 1 for personal, 1 for business, and 1 for school. They are separate for a reason. It was not a big deal to click on the account switcher in the banner. I could easily see how many new emails were in each account. My passwords were saved, so it was a simple click to see what I wanted. Now, in the “unified inbox” that I can’t seem to turn off, all 3 of my accounts are cluttered together. If I wanted everything jumbled together, I wouldn’t have set up different accounts to begin with.
  • New Interface

One of the things I loved about the app is that it was simple and straightforward. However I do NOT like the new mostly white interface. I think the best thing to do is allow users to have a choice of the new interface and the previous one. Please give us that choice.

Need to have a select all tabs to delete 1000 emails in a flash. Swiping a thousand times to delet emails are time consuming

The new update is terrible. I can probably get used to the changed layout, but why make it all so pure white? The desktop version should have been changed to match the phone version, not the other way around. I also don’t see any way to figure out which inbox has new emails anymore, so I have to go check on both of them. And wasn’t that button on the left before? Definitely preferred it on that side, switch the menu buttons if you have to have both.
  • Not a fan of the most recent update.

The new update makes my inbox hard to read. Probably my dyslexia, but something in the way the emails are displayed now makes the inbox overwhelming. Is it possible to switch back to the previous display?

Update [5.0.190127] removed ALL tag colors on the mobile app. You just made it EXTREMELY DIFFICULT for me to check my mail, then file appropriately! PLEEEEEEEEEEASE BRING BACK THE COLORS!!!!!
