  • Hard to use

    By LSO/SD
Bring back the magazine. Only a speed reader can read the photo caption because it disappears so quickly and why do we have to click on the photo to get the caption? This update is a mistake and I will probably cancel and get the magazine from my library.
  • The new update is step backwards

    By thinair_010
With the new update you can no longer download the magazine and read offload. Without an internet connection it’s useless. Bring back the functionality that was taken away.
  • All of my previous purchases are gone.

I click restore purchases and I get a message saying “you don’t have a current subscription”. This is true but I have purchased several issues individually and have no access to them now. Clearly I won’t be doing that again.
  • Where is the magazine??

    By Jjj224
Downloading the magazine on my iPad used to be the most convenient way of carrying and reading it when on the road. But no way to access it offline any more! Do I now have to physically carry the print edition to read it? Not a fan of the new App :(
  • Why? I just have to ask.... why?

    By GeGei
The thing is... this is not a very dynamic reading experience that Nat geo is famous for. The reading experience is just really boring... scrolling down a wall of text... it’s not interesting to look at. I want to feel like I’m reading the magazine on my iPad. Big beautiful pages with beautiful color and images. why can’t we EXPERIENCE the magazine? Where we turn the page just like iBooks. The digital should be an exact copy of the magazine that you just read on a tablet.
  • Less a magazine, more a browser

    By mikesafh
Maybe I’m missing something, but this version of the app seems to be more about trying to get users to view content online than letting subscribers download a magazine to be able to read offline. The magazine section seems to give a list of all the articles that went into an actual magazine (assuming it’s all, haven’t done a sanity check against a print magazine), but it doesn’t remember where you were, and viewing images with captions is pretty absurd (the caption stays for a few seconds then disappears, which also includes the X to close the image, until you tap the screen again). The prior version was the best magazine reader app I had seen. This is a step backwards. Actual content is still very interesting and well written.
  • Poor “Update”

    By Disappintedinthegame
With this update it is no longer useable. Previous versions allowed full magazine download and offline reading. Now you get “curated” articles and only when you are on a network. If I wanted to read the website, I would go to it. Please find a compromise and bring back the old functionality. I’ve been a subscriber since the 80s and this is an amateur design for the app.
  • New Version

    By M,Jack
The new version is a giant step backwards. While on a trip, I couldn’t open the app unless I was in WiFi coverage. Thus I couldn’t read the magazine while on an airplane unless I paid the airline WiFi fee; multiple times if flying different airlines. Also no way to save your place between reading sessions.
  • The “restore purchases” is missing

    By Jdwork
I can’t access my subscription that I pay for through Apple with this new update. There is no restore purchases I can click. And your FAQ has nothing that helps. So how do I access my subscription?
  • What happened to the Magazine Format?

    By No fancy nickname
I was paying each month for a magazine format that I could download and save my page. When done, I could archive the magazine to save space on my I-Pad. Now the new format leaves one to simply scroll and scroll through the article, with no way of saving where you are. The new online version is an incomplete version of your paper copy, whereas before the online version was the same format (and a little more) as the paper version. Please bring back the original format of your magazine.
