Wish could search trails that are the same but may have been listed under a slightly different name or starting point so they show up together so it is easier to find the beat starting points.

I love this App has so many options and you can record your progress and follow the trail so you won’t get turned around, the app gives you maps of all trails over the US, awesome.
  • Do your homework

I have experienced several times that the information is inaccurate. Trails have not been where they were described to be. Some were inaccessible due to overgrowth. One was walking through a neighborhood, hardly a hike with desirable scenery. Ask around prior to venturing to a faraway place only to be disappointed.

I haven’t really used any others, but this is a pretty good app. Easy to use and reliable. I’ve found some great hikes with it.
  • Great app but a little clunky on the social end

This app has been super helpful in finding trails around my area and while on the trail itself. Posting a review of the trail, photos, and a recording (which I find to be a great feature!) is a little confusing. If the UI could just have one place from which you could post everything you want to post about your hike it would get that extra fifth star. Unless I’m doing it wrong, there seems to be several ways to post information and these ways are difficult to remember where to find them in the app. Also I’d like to see a filter for searching other members. Right now you can only search by name. How about a search for other hikers in my area? Or others that have hiked the same trail as I.
  • Buggy and now sending notification reminders to check the app

Trail info is often incorrect. Now the app is sending notifications to remember to check the app. Turned notifications off which means I’ll have to remember to turn them back on when I actually need them. Please stop with the unnecessary notifications / ads. Thanks.
  • A very useful, user friendly app

We love using AllTrails. I love that you can be specific as to whether you are looking for hiking or biking trails. All of the information you need is available quickly and easily and seems to be very up-to-date.
  • Apple Watch app needs more

Really need the Apple Watch app to show a map, and or directions like “turn left in 50 ft”. Otherwise I’m going to have to switch to Viewranger or Gaia this season. Update: switching to ViewRanger. Love AllTrails for planning, but I don’t need the app for that. When I’m actually hiking, my watch is on my wrist, and my phone is in my pack or pocket, and my hands are consumed by my hiking poles. Should I turn left or right? It appears ViewRanger will tell me from my watch, and AllTrails basically just has an Apple Watch app to say they have an app. There is nothing useful about the watch app.
