  • Most Feature Filled

    By Gina Hart
Downcast is the most feature filled podcast app. I’ve tried others, but I always find myself returning to Downcast. My only complaint is that it does run very slowly on my iPod Touch 5, but that is an old device.
  • Errors

Since the update. Syncing and searching errors every time, on all devices.
  • Downcast is the best!

I’ve been using downcast for years and it’s fantastic. I’ve tried all the other podcast players out of curiosity and none come close to the performance and features of downcast. Keep up the great work and thank you! Marty
  • Can’t download new podcasts

    Error every time I search
  • Long time user

    By websyndicate
I have used this app for a Long time. As things of changed I wanted to see dark mode for quite a while and developer still has not delivered on this. The user interface is quite dated. It packs a great set of features but it’s just not what it could be. I decided to go with pocket cast as a support Sonos now. To be honest this app used to be in first place now it’s falling back. Really hope we see a change in the app and some UI polish to come to. At this point I’m leaving primarily for dark mode and Sonos support with pocket cast.
  • Favorite podcast app

I’ve been using this app to listen to podcasts for years. I’ve rarely had issues. Recently though the playback has been stopping while running in the background and while I’m playing a game.
  • Worth the money

    By Amay1620
I started using Downcast shortly after Apple made a separate app for podcasts and I’ve never gone back. It works better than any other podcasting app I've tried. You only have to pay once. There is a way you can tip the developer if you want but they don't push it on you in any way. One more thing updates are actually described in detail unlike so many other apps. I know not everyone cares about this but it shows more care then those others (to me at least).
  • Great - I use it almost every day

The interface can be a bit confusing but I like the advanced options being there for when I need them.
  • So good! I keep it on my home screen

I’ve listened to literally hundreds of hours of podcasts using Downcast and have only good things to say about this app. The offline download option is perfect since I do a lot of listening while on the road in rural areas where cell service and internet connections are spotty at best. Downcast has good fast forward and rewind options as well as the ability to speed up the pace of playback. The podcast management options mean I don’t miss episodes of the series I follow. I can’t believe it has taken me so many years to sit down and review Downcast, but this app really deserves all five stars. It blows Apple’s podcast app out of the water and I like it even more than Stitcher.
  • Best for Creating Your Own Podcast Playlists

    By JHgardener
This is the easiest app to use if you listen to a lot of podcasts. Making a playlist is a snap and changing one is too. Overall the best. Too bad none of the podcasters ever mention it in their intros.
