I love the planned drive feature except it doesn’t always remind you in the morning, instead you get a reminder about an hour after you set it up. How useful! I constantly find myself having to check in the morning to see what time to leave only to find out it’s now suggesting 15-20 minutes earlier! Also I don’t know what kind of updates have been done to this app but every day when I try to use it I receive the error stating it can’t connect. Luckily the other day I knew where I needed to go but it was nearly 20 minutes of waiting for this app to give the route. If there isn’t an update soon, I definitely can’t rely on this app anymore and will be going back to the maps navigation!

Waze was a great 5+ star app until about 2/3 weeks ago! I have navigation ability in my car, but I rarely use it because I hate talking my eyes off the road. I preferred Waze because my phone is mounted at eye level, and it just took a glance to follow the highlighted route. Now Waze only shows the highlighted route on my dash Navi screen and makes me read turn by turn directions at eye level on my phone! Horrible change y’all! Whoever thought that following written turn by turn directions on the phone was a good idea blew it. Please revert to the highlighted route on the phone or at least make it an option. Thanks

When traveling I use Waze not only to direct me to the right location but also because of the added security it gives me. It notifies me of vehicles parked along the way as well as any speed traps. Thank you for your excellent service.
  • disappointing

you know, I'm sure it's difficult to accurately measure the rate of traffic in real time, but I remain disappointed at the utter uselessness of this app in manhattan during rush hour.

Still gives more unique directions than the other options but it constantly thinks I’m driving in the opposite direction and gives me new routes. It basically makes the app unusable. It also doesn’t seem to be able to decide what speed I’m going so we constantly zooms in and then zooms out and then zooms in again while I’m driving. This is annoying but not the end of the world.
  • Good app

I love this app because it will take you on roads that others won’t! Occasionally the travel time is wrong (especially on stop and go roads) but they all seem to be. Overall I have this to be the best!
  • Unreliable

I really like the features in Waze, and for the most part it is very accurate. But I’ve had more problems than I can recall with the app connecting to its server. Numerous times I have had to delay my trip while Wade searches, and searches, for the server. And lately I have seen an increase in nonsense routes - routing me toward some small side road when a main road with no traffic is more direct and not backed up. It just seems that it’s not handling data well lately.
  • Battery Murderer: Keep your charger handy!

I love Waze overall. Sometimes it seems like the routes it gives me put me right into the thick of traffic jams, however, I also acknowledge that alternative routes may be worse. I really like the features that allow me and other “Wazers” to report police, hazards and traffic on my routes. What I DO NOT LIKE is the battery consumption of the app. Waze literally eats 50% of my battery power in less than 1 hour of use. I have a new phone too, so I know it has nothing to do with my battery life, or age of my phone. I know that the features it has (real-time traffic information, etc.) means it has to be constantly refreshing to keep the information current, BUT, it would be highly problematic if I had a longer commute than just the 20 miles I have. I have to charge my phone half way through the afternoon because I use it for my trip home, which throws off my charging schedule altogether. I truly hope the developers are able to find some kind of fix for this because if not, I’ll just have to stop using it and find an alternative, or just deal with a little bit of traffic for a while.

I was one of the first to use it I was very happy with it. Now I think the app fell victim of it’s on popularity: very often it causes traffic by taking every one off the highway and putting them on the service road. It finds short cuts that are too complicated and lengthy. Finally it no longer works for long trips, the servers must be overwhelmed, I put in an address get the spinning wheel, and then the error. My wife gets the same message. I tried reloading, rebooting, changing username etc. a waste of time. PS Google maps is excellent but doesn’t have the alerts.
