  • Call screening update is not good

    By 95.5 fan
The recent update made causes my personal cell phone to get the voicemail. It doesn’t go to my Google voicemail. Also requires a caller to state their name and that feature could be disabled prior. It’s become a real inconvenience.
  • wrong language

  • Good But...

Google voice is a good app to use, however I wish there was a feature to know when someone is calling from the google voice number before you answer the phone. Like for example a different ringtone or like a pop up notification stating a google voice call is coming through.
  • Great app with continued development

With my main number tied to G Voice, this app is a must for me. Works very well with few issues. One addition needs to be made ASAP though and that is a favorites tab for quickly dialing the most used numbers. Or adding favorites at the top of the contacts tab. Either would work for me, but having to look up the same number every day just to dial it gets so old!
  • Bad update from Google

    By Duck676
With google’s new update, callers are now forced to state their names when calling my GV number. I liked the previous version where I could turn this off and still receive voicemail on my GV app. If this screening option is turned off now, calls and voicemails appear on the phone itself instead of the app. I use this for work and with the update this app basically non-functional.
  • Recent update ruined this

    By NBYT2010
I’m adding my “voice“ to those saying that the recent updates have ruined this app. I also use it for a business, and the caller ID isn’t working, the app isn’t picking up the calls but rather putting them right through to my personal voicemail, and I can’t make calls directly from the app. Why were these ridiculous changes made? This is almost no longer useful to me.
  • Broken

Incoming calls don't ring my iPhone. Tried both with and without linking to Hangouts.
  • Bring back Caller ID options!!!

I use Google Voice for my business. You used to have the option to either have your Google voice number displayed on your linked phone, or have Google voice announce that you have a Google voice call when you pick up, with the option to answer the call or send it to voicemail. You also had the option to have unknown callers say their name so that Google voice can properly announce them. As of yesterday, the only option is to have all calls rerouted to your linked number without any announcement or indication that it is coming through your Google Voice number (no indication on the screen or when you pick up) unless you turn on the option to have unknown callers say their name. Both of these are terrible options because either 1) unknown callers will be alerted that you are using Google voice number (Mason unprofessional or weird to new callers), or 2) you have to answer calls on your linked phone without knowing whether someone is calling your actual personal number or your Google voice number. The second option does not work for me because I need to answer my phone in a different manner when it is a business call. If google voice does not bring back the previous options then I will have to find a different option for my business phone. This is very disappointing because I’ve successfully used Google voice for my business for almost 10 years and would hate to have to find a new service and especially new phone number!

Everything was great just last week. Now suddenly in order to receive that prompt to “Press 1” etc, you apparently have to have the caller say their name. How do you advertise the convenience of two numbers then make it nearly impossible for someone to distinguish the difference? So my new options are only receive my number as a caller I’d and not know the incoming number or force my callers to say their name. Smh! I understand if their in you phonebook they won’t have to do this but 99% of my calls are not in my phonebook. Please change this feature back or add a different feature to be prompted to accept the call. Please!!!
