  • Disappointing considering I’m paying for content

    By Randomness night
Frequently force closes. Suggestions for new podcasts seem utterly arbitrary and unrelated to favorited and frequented podcasts. Also, doesn’t automatically download “saved” episodes when connected to WiFi despite the fact that it is set to do so, leaving me all too often high and dry with nothing saved to my device for trips away from WiFi. Ironically also saves episodes without being prompted first to do so.
  • Good and BAD.

So. It’s good because it’s better interface than apple’s app. But freezes (might be only app I use that does). Grays-out too. And when will SOMEONE make a podcast app that defaults to play the next episode?!??!
  • Functional and easy to use

    By Rosaaa
I love this app! It’s well organized and you can search within a show for a specific episode. That feature isn’t in other podcast apps! It’s easy to turn off things like automatic downloads and organize playlists. It easily remembers where you were at in an episode and functions well. Way better than apple podcast app.

1/20/19 - awful update. PLEASE LET ME REVERT BACK! It doesnt Show you Which shows you’ve already listened to. Even if you’ve already listened the show appears in bold just like the new eps. Awkward interface. 4years ago - “I’ve tried a lot of pod apps & none of them come close to Stitcher. Well done!
  • Pretty Terrible

    By bodynet
The only reason I use it is for Earwolf premium content and I can’t get it to work on the native Apple podcast app. Here are the main issues I have: 1. Interface isn’t all that intuitive and very clunky to get around. Trying to play a podcast takes too many touches, which makes it distracting while driving. 2. Even though I have podcasts selected as favorites, they never download. I have to stream them all the time which causes problems if the connectivity isn’t there. 3. When it’s plugged into my car via USB, it pauses itself all the time. It doesn’t do this on Bluetooth. 4. It always shows one podcast downloading, but it won’t tell me what it is. 5. Hard to search for new podcasts to listen to. If you want to search for a new comedy podcast, good luck. The good news is that it plays podcasts, and isn’t horrible once you get used to the quirks.
  • Slow to respond

    By cDivish
I’ve been a dedicated user since 2012 and have logged an enormous number of hours, but this latest update is extremely frustrating. I suspect it has something to do with the integration with waze, which I’d prefer not to have. To pause a currently playing episode I have to push the buttons so many times it’s faster to pull out earbuds. Hitting play is just as slow, but no easy work around. Then while I am listening, the app screen will go black and I’ll have to reload the app to fix it. Grrr. These are the most basic expectations of a podcast experience-play/pause and the app itself—and it’s flubbing up.
  • Battery Drain?

    By Starsongs
I’ve been a longtime devotee of this app over others for podcasts. Sadly, it seems to be draining my battery far more than usual recently. If this continues I’ll need to choose another app unfortunately. Any fix would be welcome!
  • Can't do the basics. Horrible to use when driving / riding.

    By Nite the Knight
Can't keep track of where I am in a podcast and allow me to listen to episodes in order. I have to *search* for #11 when I finish #10. Miserable experience if you want to listen from the beginning of a podcast with 100s of episodes. Add to that buggy ads and freezing app make you accidentally start podcasts with no interest to you, and there's no way to get back to where you were. Not if you're driving on the freeway and like to avoid accidents.
  • Drains My Battery Big Time

    By Drsnk
Not sure what happened but the last few days this app has been wiping out my battery. Out it goes!
  • good podcasts, horrible player

    By aantolik
Stitcher Premium has tremendous content, but this app freezes constantly, doesn’t load podcasts, crashes, and when i start it for the first time each day i have to kill it and restart it multiple times to get it to work. incredibly irritating to use.
