I “upgraded” to the pro because it wouldn’t scan until I would - and it still didn’t work. All it gives me is a number & a link to “research” the number on google. Which only takes me to Wikipedia or other similar sources. Tried to email download support & email won’t send. Time to complain to Apple about the app.

I got this app to try and used the free three day premium trial, but I can’t end the subscription and have been charged for it. The app’s description says there is a “user Account Settings” in the app to manage subscriptions but there is none. What a scam.
  • Loved it — for the first several months.

This app works great when you first get it. The first 50 or so scans quickly look up, and then I don’t know whether it’s after a certain number of scans or timeframe, but I can no longer use it at all because all it does is throw up the ad wanting me to spend FIFTY BUCKS for the pro version. Oh, and that’s just for a year. If you dismiss that nag screen and try to scan something again, throws a random ad in your face and does not give you scan results. Also I’d take a look at their privacy policy. It’s written to sound like a real privacy policy. But it isn’t. All it says is “we will use whatever data we collect on you in whatever way we want as long as it doesn’t break the law at this moment. Oh, and we don’t have to tell you what we’re going to use it for unless we have to under the law.” If you’re comfortable with that and the fact that after 50 or so scans be at becomes useless unless you pay them $50, hey go ahead and download it. It works well at first.
  • Faster may not be better....

It scanned so quickly that it didn’t pick up the ENTIRE barcode and when I tried to rescan it, I get a pop up for the trial premium version (which will eventually charge my iTunes account). NO. Definitely not, especially since I couldn’t even TRY THIS OUT in the first place before they want me to opt in for PREMIUM. Bad business ethics here guys.
  • Annoying advertising glitch

This app works quite well, but after scanning a code once it starts popping up a three day trial ad which prevents you from going to your scanned codes website. I have to continually uninstall the app just to scan something. Please fix this.

They try to trick you into getting a 49.99 / year subscription.

Who would pay $50 a year for this? Not everything needs to be subscription based. An app like this is worth a one time payment of no more than $10.
