  • Not for adult males

This app is seemingly written for high school girls going through their first breakup. It’s not good for adult guys going through real breakups in later life. The “audio training” is just a short blog post read by a young female with no actual credentials. It doesn’t actually give any “tools” other than a journal and a glorified blog post to react to. I will not pay for this.

I am so grateful to mend for helping me grieve the loss of my relationship in a healthy manner by focusing on remaining no contact, doing good things for myself each day, allowing me to begin each day with some amazing audio trainings and journals that really grounded me and just making me feel like I have someone in my corner. I can't give it enough stars!

This app was exactly what I needed. It really brought or helped me find focus and clarity through my breakup. Is there maybe a way to change it so I can reread the articles that I favorited?
  • Beautiful, super helpful app

Mend is like having a best friend in your pocket. The app provides sweet daily reminders and motivational quotes, and the trainings are really spot-on, emotionally and logically. I recommend it for anyone.

I love this app. You have truly helped me through this pain and heartache with an honest but comforting way and I can’t thank you enough. I also appreciate the daily affirmation texts and reminders. My break up was with a man I’ve known and loved for 30 years, although we dated for only 7. We weren’t right for each other as more than friends but we both kept trying to make it work. Had I not found this app I probably would have gone back to my old habits of trying again, even knowing that it would probably happen again. I still love him but now I’m learning to love myself more and to recognize the difference between being together for true love and being together for convenience. Thank you again.
  • Im sorry but I couldnt even get through registration

This app might be appropriate for high school students going through a break up but if you have been mArried and have kids and are facing divorce this is NOT helpful. Being asked if you are going through a “breakup 💔” followed by a totally obnoxious list of like 5 options re why your whole life is crumbling down around you “distance? Infidelity?...” followed by a textbot response of “Great! 🎉 Thanks for sharing” literally made me want to smash my phone. I did not register. I hate this app and have deleted it. Promising concept but the immature naiveté is enraging.
  • Blog posts passing as therapy

I thought the idea of this app was great. But much of what is presented seem like things heartbroken teenagers wrote in their live journals, not actual therapeutic advice. For example, a line in an article titled “When They Come Back To You, Please Don’t Take Them Back” that says: “Don’t ever forget that someone who cares about, loves you, will never ever do anything to hurt you. And say they do love you, say they do care, then that is even worse. ” Note this article is not about abusive relationships, just anyone who dumped you and hurt you. All relationships will hurt at times, and anyone who has been to any amount of therapy knows the right answer is not cutting everyone who ever causes you pain out of your life. I don’t leave a lot of app reviews, but it worries me that people may be making life decisions based on this advice.

This app is great for anyone who is 1)Willing to pay for a coping app 2) is not in dire need of longer term psycho social support due to a really rough break up. Over all, nice app and easy to use. I did appreciate the lovely affirmation/reminders given on a daily basis.
  • The best!

The best $10 I've spent in my app store. This app helped me target my feelings and channel them productively. I felt way less alone in the healing process and was given many resources (articles, recipes, journal prompts, movie recs, playlists) to help me move forward. I planned on only using this for the month but I'm going to extend my subscription. Mend has made this my most productive breakup and I've learned about myself. My only suggestion would be to tailor the programming so you can opt in or out depending on relevance of the specific message.
