  • Expensive

I wanted to play for free, but I don’t know what to do after I finish the piano basics! Like, you need to pay for everything after you are done with learning the first five keys. I have seen many amazing ads for this app but it turns out it just wants money! I want to learn more aboit the piano with this app, but i have to pay a lot of money!
  • The payment to learn piano on this app.

I think that for a years worth of using this app for $100 isn’t bad at all. Paying for private lessons is way more expensive than just a flat out $100 per year. The app is efficient and can’t wait to use it more.

This app is so helpful in so many ways! It’s teaching me how to read notes and play the piano like I never thought I could and I proud of myself for that! All thanks to SimplyPiano 🎹🎼

When I first signed up for a three month trial, it seemed to work fine. Then I tried to be able to access it from other devices on my family network because per the App Store that was an option. It didn’t work and stupid me decided to go ahead and upgrade to the family plan because maybe it would work then, and also I could get individual profiles for each of my family members who wanted to learn to play! Wrong wrong wrong. Despite upgrading the app, none of the promised features were available and I could not create profiles for my family members. I paid them $100 for this and emailed them yesterday with no response. To add insult to injury, I accidentally signed out from the app on my own device and now cannot get into it anymore because it keeps telling me it is sent me a confirmation email which is neither in my inbox or spam folder, and there is no other option to contact them. I am leaving them a one star review in hopes that they get their act together and start actually responding to their paying customers. I’m VERY displeased.
  • Note recognition and transitioning

I don’t know? Like when I turn up the piano or even plug the mic in it keeps saying I get notes wrong when I don’t; and notes right when I’m not. Also I don’t know if this is how it works since it’s my third week but on the upper or lower staff when it says to switch and I do, I’m not actually supposed to switch and I keep trying to remind myself to look at the notes, which is on me, but seeing the bold number makes me switch my hand just on instinct I guess. And same thing with my left hand, I was learning a song and it said to switch my hand and go from the f note to lower c but I still had to keep my hand on f and?? it’s really frustrating to deal with and I don’t know if this is just happening to me and maybe it’s just my iPad, but we tried (like I said before) to connect it to a mic and I also tried turning up the volume of the piano, but it still misheard the notes. But the switching thing is probably not my iPad sorry I don’t know

I just got this app and I have always just pressed keys, I was alright at playing but I have noticed a massive improvement in my playing. I highly recommended this app to beginners
  • Not the best.

It was a good app at first but if you want to do more than the beginning or want to play other songs you have to pay a good sum of money. I shall stick with my piano teacher.
  • So many problems

    By a h0l3 0f m3m3s
So there are three problems.when I’m playing,I hit the key and it doesn’t play, causing it to not play the next note. Second one is whenever practice mode is one I try to take it off but it won’t and I reset my phone, try everything but it won’t come off,I hope it won’t be too much to fix, thank you.
  • Pay to play

99% of this is hidden behind a pay wall. The first lesson would be best for people who have never seen a piano before.
