  • Diamonds

    By Chillylady
I like this app! However the designs utilize multiple plants, table arts and other accessories. These cost a lot of diamonds. You can’t earn enough diamonds to furnish more than one design a day. The “free” diamonds earned daily is only 500 which buys very little. You can get some more diamonds if you are willing to watch multiple ads but the most you can earn is 300 diamonds (if that) which isn’t enough. Art work. $300 — $1150 diamonds each and most designs need two to three. Plants. $500 —1150 diamonds each and also need one to three. Table accessories. $300 — $1100 diamonds each and you can need five to seven. So unless you are willing to purchase diamonds your designs suffer. If you’ve got the money to purchase the diamonds you can have a lot of fun.
  • Ok but strange base room colors

    By Belle5272
Weird color choices and patterns either force designs that are clashing or you have to buy things so that you can coordinate: Also everyone should be able to buy whatever design articles they want- there’s minimal items to choose from unless your in level 30 and above which takes forever to get to.
  • Extremely Disappointed

    By SaloneGyal1980
Started playing this game early this year and it became a great way to pass time, de-stress. So much so that I actually spent real money (first time ever/never though I would do) on it. I also utilized the free offers via Tapjoy. This turned absolutely nightmarish last week. Signed up for an offer via Tapjoy which deceptively advertised a monthly trial for a dollar, but then charged my back account to the tune of $19.99 just three days later. I’ve tried to resolve this and sent MULTIPLE emails to both Design Home and Crowdstar (at least five at this point) with no response. Sent my first email on Sunday; today is Tuesday. In the meantime, despite providing proof (welcome email, etc.)of having signed up for the offer, Tapjoy has been giving me the runaround via email since last THURSDAY. This is not my idea of what a “relaxing fun” (per the game’s description) experience should be like, especially considering the fact that this has not been a free service to me (at this point having spent over a $100 with the possibility of spending more, for sure). Just deleted the app and I’m done for good.
  • Scam rewards

    By CreativePhoenyx
I enjoy the game play of this app. However, I find myself in constant need of more diamonds/coins to continue playing. They have an option to earn more by completing offers through Tapjoy but almost every single time you complete one of the bigger offers (which usually takes several days of playing another game) they will deny the credits saying you never downloaded the game. This is completely contradictory to the what the offer clearly states “Application install is optional and reward won’t be provided in connection with an application install” Despite their disclaimer I still screenshoted every step of the download process for proof and have been denied. This week alone I should have been awarded nearly 52,000 diamond credits and I’ve probably earned upwards of 200k+ that I never received in my time playing this game. It’s just not worth it anymore and I’m uninstalling permanently.
  • Frustrated

    By New to team iPhone
I’ve played this game for over a year off and on and every time I pick it back up I get burnt out again and stop for a while. The developers really need to come up with a better reward system or change the costs of the various items for purchase. This game is set up so that if you want to do much in it you will need to purchase diamonds with real money. I know many other users have complained that the voting doesn’t seem fair. Each challenge has a theme to it and it does repeatedly seem as if those who follow the theme get lower scores than those who don’t, which gets frustrating when you are needing diamonds for continuous play. Finally, it is super easy to accidentally purchase an item. The game really needs an “undo” option for those circumstances, otherwise it eats up majority of your money in some cases and you can’t play for a few days waiting to replenish.
  • Daily challenge-different rooms!

    By ilovetruecrime
I wish that the daily challenges were other rooms besides just a living room. I wish each day was a different room to change it up!
  • SUPER FUN but...

    By ooferry
It’s weird how you can’t design the whole room without having to pay first since you’re only allow to preview with two unpurchased items. I personally would like to see if the furnitures/decor I use is able to flow and match. There are also times I would accidentally purchase an item and there isn’t a return option so be careful what you buy and hope it works out. There’s a lot of flaws in this game from what I can see, but overall it’s a fun game.

I really enjoy playing this game, however when there was an app update it froze my app so I had to clear my cache - losing EVERY SINGLE DESIGN I’ve ever done! Customer service is extremely TERRIBLE- and extremely SLOW! I’ve spent so much real money on this game only to lose it all in an app update! Another thing that is awful is the Tapjoy rewards system - it degrades the Design Home app turning it into a complete joke! Beware if you play this game that you will be stuck with s bunch of junk, no way to really earn enough better items and will have to spend tons of actual cash to play this game!
  • Love/Hate

    By Karenetta
I originally said that this is an addictive game but I think it may be wearing off. Acquiring a variety of staging items (accessories) takes forever. I get tired of using the same ones over and over. Most of the beds are some shade of white. And the placement of items in a room is often weird (too high or low for pictures, some pieces blocking sight of others, off-center placements, strange gaps in the room between furniture pieces, etc). It would be much better if we could decide where to place things at least to a degree. How about some duvets for the beds, throw pillows, things like that? And some things don’t make sense as to how large they appear when chosen such as the blanket baskets (I’ve never seen such large baskets in my life! They hide most of the chairs!) It’s hard to tell the difference between many pieces without choosing them and in the galleries they don’t look much like they really appear in the room. And again, way too many are white. I do enjoy the game overall, but I have a feeling I won’t stay with it much longer.
  • What happened to my stuff?

    By KieArmani
I love this game. Favorite hands down. When I got it I spent all the money and diamonds I had and worked myself back up for weeks. Brought so much furniture. Even reached a 4.25 star rating. But I log in to Facebook none of that mattered anymore. Kinda sad bc I did work hard for all that stuff and it’s gone. It would be nice if at least the furniture transfers over
